About the role
Are you an experienced civil designer looking for more than just another consulting role?
At the City of Coffs Harbour, you'll play a key role in delivering infrastructure that directly benefits our community. Working within our Survey and Design Team, you'll lead the design and documentation of a broad range of civil infrastructure projects, from roads and roundabouts to stormwater networks, water and sewer infrastructure, carparks, pathways and open space improvements.
This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise, influence project outcomes from concept through to delivery, and see your designs become reality in the community where you live and work. You'll collaborate with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to develop innovative, practical and sustainable infrastructure solutions that support the City's growing capital works program.

About you
If you're an experienced civil engineering designer who enjoys tackling complex problems and delivering high-quality outcomes, we want to hear from you!
You will bring strong technical expertise, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, alongside a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
You're equally comfortable working independently and as part of a team—and you're motivated by the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that benefit the community.
What you'll bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Strong experience in civil infrastructure design across multiple asset types
- Proficiency in design and modelling software (12d and BricsCAD / AutoCAD)
- Ability to manage projects, prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

- Competitive salary from around $106.5K - $115K (including allowances), depending on your capabilities and experience + 12% superannuation
